A Global resource guide for teachers and educators
prepared by frances wilkins
for IREX and the teachers for global classrooms program
The beautiful Moroccan door pictured above is just a glimpse of the splendor that can be experienced if you are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be invited in. This resource guide is just such a door and I was very fortunate to be an invitee. Through a generous grant from the International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) in conjunction with the Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs (BCA) of the U.S. State Department I participated in a year long program culminating in the building of this website as a capstone project.
The website is current, please check back for updates with more information and tools as they become available or obsolete. This guide can be used in the classroom at the grassroots level to search for lesson plans and Web 2.0 resources for international project-based learning opportunities. The guide is also useful for curriculum development to stay aligned with the current shift toward Common Core standards.
